MY MOTHER
MY MOTHER'S BIBLE
I prize my mother's Bible as the most valued at all, For it's
when I leaf its pages that I faintly hear her call.
There are verses underlined there; To her heart they were so
dear, like the promise of His presence: "Never falter, never fear."
There's the "many mansions" chapter in the Book of John, you
see, and the page though thumbed and faded holds the same comfort for me.
There's the crucifixion passage where the Savior bled and
died; There are tearstains on the pages, for she walked close by His side.
There are notes within the margins--Gems of wisdom here and
there; Yes I prize my mother's Bible, as the Book beyond compare!
My Mother never gave up on praying for me; She raised me
to know what was right. She taught me to go to Church and to serve the
Living God, with all my strength and might.
And with God's Help I'll do just that, as much as I am able,
because I can remember even today, those precious pages of ..........
.........MY MOTHER'S BIBLE!
