HEAVEN’S GATES AND HELL’S FLAMES

Heaven’s Gates and Hell’s Flames is a LIVE drama which has been presented all over the world since its beginning in 1979 in Ontario, Canada. Hundreds of thousands of people have seen the drama since then and multitudes have come to accept Jesus Christ as personal Saviour due to its impact. Husband and wife teams bring the sound and light props to the local church and cast and train the people from that local church to actually be in the drama! Parts for each person are relatively small and easy to learn and some parts are non-speaking, and rehearsal is done on the Saturday and Sunday afternoon before the drama presentation that Sunday night. Anyone wanting to be in the drama is urged to show up at the church on Friday evening at 7pm to 9pm for casting picks. The ministry team from Heaven’s Gates picks the people who will do the different parts. The teams made up of husband, wife and family, arrive at their destination by motorhome on Friday to work with the local church’s volunteer cast in preparation for the Drama which runs evenings Sunday through Tuesday. Schedule permitting, Tuesday night’s showing is often extended to Wednesday.

“Heaven’s Gates & Hell’s Flames” is a high impact, compelling drama presentation making use of elaborate sound and lighting effects designed to make people consider where they will spend eternity based on the Biblical reality of life after death and beyond the grave. A cast of approximately 40 people (volunteers from the host church), act out a series of vignettes about people who live life, make their choices, die and find themselves outside heaven asking the question, “Angel, is my name in your book?” (Rev 20:15) If their name is found in the “Book of Life”, a choir of angels sing and in a joyous scene, the person is welcomed into heaven by a smiling Jesus. However when the answer is “no”…Hell becomes an all too real reality. The Drama thus depicts the Biblical reality of an eternal destiny (Heaven and Hell..Heb. 9:27) and that only by accepting Jesus Christ (John 3:3), can a person be assured of Heaven and escaping Hell.
