ARE THE HEATHEN LOST?

Everyone who rejects Jesus Christ as Saviour during this lifetime will be lost.

Romans 1:20 declares that all unsaved people who never trust Christ as Saviour during their lifetime are "without excuse". No one can say, "I never got a chance to hear the Gospel so it is not fair that I must go to hell."

The Bible teaches that we have a fair God and that in His foreknowledge He knows ahead of time who will or will not trust Christ when they get the chance to hear the Gospel. (1Peter 1:2). We believe that God will get the Gospel to the pagan or heathen person at some time during that person's lifetime if He knows in His foreknowledge that the person will trust Christ if he gets the opportunity. If you or I fail to get the Gospel to that person God will see to it that someone else will... No one will go to hell because of someone else's failure to get the Gospel to them... We go to hell because we reject Christ as Saviour.

If God knows that some pagan will trust Christ if the chance is given, He will use some method to get the Gospel to that person at some time during their lifetime. No one will go to hell if they would have trusted Christ, given the chance, but never got that chance.

Some might ask, "Well, why should we try so urgently to get the Gospel to people as quickly as possible then?"

The urgency is that by a person trusting Christ at age 20 instead of age 45 it could save a lot of heartache and sin and it's consequences in that persons life!
